Franchise Opportunity

Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque was founded in 2011 with the belief that great barbeque should be more available in New York City which has one of the most diverse culinary offerings in the world. Co-founders Christos Gourmos,
Micha Magid and Hugh Mangum set out to change this and have now grown the brand to 10 locations including a restaurant in the iconic Yankee Stadium and 5 locations internationally.

They set out to create a brand that supported what was most important to themselves and their customers; serving all-naturally raised meats, using fresh ingredients and supporting an environment where great customer
service was just as important as the food. Having set the standard in our category we’re now looking for like-minded restaurateurs and entrepreneurs to join us in growing our brand across the country. Our fast casual format allows the business to thrive as both the best BBQ restaurant in the neighborhood but also a place to grab a meal in under 10 minutes. Our phenomenal slow smoked bbq, efficient service strategy, lean labor model and scalable operating plan will allow operators to quickly expand in their markets.

Our mission is to continue building on this momentum in new markets with our franchisee partners.

Frequently

Asked Questions

  • When did Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque start franchising?

After opening the first Mighty Quinn’s in 2012 we have expanded to 9 company owned restaurants located in New York and New Jersey, plus a location in Yankee Stadium. We also have 5 franchised restaurants in international territories. Mighty Quinn’s domestic franchises are now being made available for the first time in 2018.

  • What do we look for in our franchisees?

We are looking for multi-unit franchisees or qualified investors with an established operating team. A passion for food and hospitality are the two most important traits in prospective franchisees.

  • What will it cost to open our first location?

The initial investment to open a flagship restaurant that is equipped to service multiple additional Mighty Quinn’s locations will range from $738,488-$896,334. “Satellite” locations will range from $494,317-$696,290.

  • How is Mighty Quinn’s positioned to compete in today’s dining market?

The Mighty Quinn’s operating model is built to provide multiple revenue channels into the location. Dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering business can all be fulfilled from within your location offering a dynamic revenue opportunity that is necessary to accommodate current consumer demands.

  • How does Mighty Quinn’s use the Development Fee?

The Development Fee covers the cost of overseeing the entire process from training to design and eventually the restaurant opening. Our highly tailored training program will equip you with the operational knowledge needed to run a Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque and our team will be onsite to support you for the grand opening. We stand by our franchisees with operational support as your business grows.

  • Can I open multiple units or purchase a territory?

Our system is designed to scale multiple units in a territory utilizing one central flagship restaurant for the majority of your food production. A multi-unit agreement will allow the franchisee to benefit from scale as new locations can be opened without the infrastructure requirements of the flagship restaurant.

  • How long will it take to open a Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque restaurant?

Timing will largely depend on the time it takes to complete training as well as your real estate site selection. Other factors include design, construction, hiring and setting up your supply chain which may take anywhere from 6-12 months from the time a franchisee agreement is signed to opening your restaurant.

  • What training support is provided to franchisees?

Mighty Quinn’s will host your corporate and restaurant team at our training kitchen in New Jersey for extensive course work in production, systems and protocol. Franchisees will also spend time in Mighty Quinn’s restaurants during this process. An additional 2 weeks (one week prior and one week following the opening of your first restaurant) of training will be provided in your local market. Training tools and operational guidance will be provided to the franchisee throughout the process.

  • How will I choose where to open in my territory?

You will select your location based on your local market knowledge. We will help in offering our real estate expertise and offer guidance from our national brokerage relationships. The ultimate decision will be made by the franchisee.

  • Who handles restaurant design and construction?

Mighty Quinn’s will provide you with a base set of comprehensive design plans that can be tailored to accommodate almost any suitably sized space. You will be required to hire an architect and construction team to facilitate your buildout.

  • How will I source the required ingredients?

We will assist you in setting up your local supply network.
